Duties:Work as part of the assay development group tasked with creating a panel of four infectious disease tests. Design, prepare, test, and analyze various biochemical formulations which constitute assay chemistries in preparation for Xip’s commercial launch. Test assay sensitivity, specificity, precision, robustness, and entail antibody selection, interference optimization. Transfer assays into dry format and test systems in the commercial platform. Design, develop, test, and evaluate novel surface chemistries and fluidic components for the Xip platform. Develop protein-based assays including: antibody selection, immunoassay development, dry chemistry development, assay system characterization, system integration with the Xip microchip, and assay optimization for clinical settings. Employ surface bio-chemistry techniques and microfluidic design and prototyping and protein assay development to complete research. Collaborate and consult with other team members on projects and ensure strong quality standards for reproducible production.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Genetics, or a closely related field, plus three (3) years of scientific research or related experience with: assay development for commercial biomedical products; immunoassay development, protein assay development, and assay system characterization and optimization; microfluidic design; raw chemical material testing; laboratory equipment maintenance; and writing technical research reports.
